Bed Rack Comparison - BillieBars vs Generic

Bed Rack Comparison - BillieBars vs Generic

Lets be honest - buying from a large online retailer is incredibly streamlined. Search, add to cart, 3 days later a box shows up at your house. Easy-peasy, right?

Certain things make sense for buying on demand - floaties for your toddler, that last minute wedding gift, etc.

But does it make sense for your new bed rack? Probably not.

In this article, we're going to briefly dive into the differences in a BillieBars Bed Rack and a generic bed rack that you could find on Amazon.

Support

Lets start with the general support inquiries. If you have an issue with your generic bed rack, who are you going to call? The Ghostbusters? In all seriousness, what is your plan if you have a question about the bed rack you bought? You're likely not going to call anyone - you're going to return it or figure it out on your own.

We pride ourselves at BillieBars with the most comprehensive support on the market - when you call or email us, an actual human being will respond.

Tonneau Cover Compatible

We did a heavy breakdown in our last email and blog post, which you can find here. Simply put, almost every generic bed rack on the market is not tonneau cover compatible. If that's what you're into (leaving your belongings unprotected), then maybe you should go generic?

No Fixed Positions

BillieBars Bed Racks are adjustable, north to south. Meaning if you wanted to put our two crossbars directly next to each other, you could. You can choose the spacing between your BillieBars, to fit your needs.

Other generic bed racks are designed in a one size fits all manner - so if you like being told what to do, generic bed racks are perfect for you.

Compatible with a wide array of accessories

BillieBars Bed Racks are designed around several core activities, listed below. In effect, one rack to rule them all - with a little help from the right accessories.

Most generic racks are manufactured with thin sheet metal, which don't offer the integrated t slots that you see on a BillieBars Bed Rack. If you are trying to mount activity specific accessories, you're likely going to have to get creative.

Having integrated t slots (two on top, two on the bottom, one each side) allows us to secure a multitude of accessories, SECURELY. Adult Legos anyone?

American Made

BillieBars Bed Racks are made in Pennsylvania and ship in one box. You'll feel the difference immediately.

Conclusion

Generic sometimes makes sense. But not when you're talking bed racks.  Thanks for reading :)
