Moving a Roof Top Tent on and off your bed rack can be a little bit of an ordeal. A hard shell RTT can be upwards of 150 lbs and is near impossible to lift by yourself. Our low profile bed racks make it easier loading a tent than a cab height rack - but still - it requires some man power.
In the spirit of working smarter, and not harder - installing a hoist in your garage is a major hack for loading and unloading your RTT.

Always be sure to use a hoist that is rated to the required weighting (and then some) and install it correctly to prevent it ripping out from the ceiling. Use high strength straps to secure the RTT.
